Features:
1. Description: This reagent is a colorless or greenish yellow columnar crystal.
2. Characteristics: Soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol. Decompose when exposed to acid. When heated to 90 ℃, 1 molecule of crystalline water is lost, and when heated to 190 ℃, it decomposes.
3. Storage requirements: It should be sealed in a cool and dry place for storage.
4. Used as an analytical reagent for the determination of phosphates, phosphates, arsenates, and penicillin like substances by spectrophotometry or thin-layer chromatography. It is also used in the photography industry and pottery glaze color.
5. Ammonium molybdate is used as a black passivation solution for zinc plating, as a stabilizer in electroless nickel plating, and as an oxidant in steel phosphating solutions.
