Features:
1. Appearance: White cubic crystal or powder.
2. Features: Slightly hygroscopic in humid air, can precipitate free iodine and turn yellow after prolonged exposure, and can form trace amounts of iodate. Light and moisture can accelerate decomposition.
3. Dissolve in 0.7ml of water, 0.5ml of boiling water, 22ml of ethanol, 8ml of boiling ethanol, 51ml of anhydrous ethanol, 8ml of methanol, 7.5ml of acetone, 2ml of glycerol, and approximately 2.5ml of ethylene glycol. Its aqueous solution is neutral or slightly alkaline and can dissolve iodine.
4. Usage: Commonly used as a titrant in volumetric analysis of iodine content. In haploid breeding, culture media such as Breedes, improved White, MS, and RM are used. Fecal examination, photography, pharmaceuticals, etc.
5. Storage method: Sealed, dry, and dark storage.
